Meet LIJN 5G. The first ever branded fiction satire series on Dutch YouTube.
"I have never really tried that before, so I think I should definitely be able to do that" a wise freckled young woman once said. This certainly applies to developing 'LIJN 5'. A series made with our long term partners, TELE2 and Mediacom.
After our awardwinning series 'Alles voor de Follow', starring Bram Krikke, it was only a matter of time that the three of us would cross paths again, yet this time, riding a colorful bus full of laughter and outspoken characters.
In three stand-alone episodes, the kindest bus driver, portrayed by Tim Haars, gets us from A to B. Or should we say to the DMC?
YouTube celebrities, Jesse Hoefnagels, Jessie Maya and Qucee ride along and are joined by their famous influencer friends. They all have one thing in common: their final destination, known as, the Digital Medical Centrum. A hospital specialised in treating patients for their excessive online media use.
And of course, it's a bumpy ride... Protesting yogi's, the birth of a Gucci baby and a feisty oil wrestler in a cow conflict.
One of the main objectives of the campaign was to create awareness for TELE2's super fast 5G data network by reaching the target audience organically. But how? YouTube is pretty saturated and it can be hard to stand out...
So. We succesfully published each episode on a different YouTube channel. Resulting in huge amounts of views, likes and comments. That's right, we really took travelling by bus serious, allowing everyone to virtually hop and off.
